My name is Brandon Holstein and I am a 23-year-old who loves the game of football and has a sincere and deep passion for scouting NFL talent. My obsession for following the NFL Draft began about six years ago and ever since then I have been passionately following and learning more and more about the draft process as well as how to scout players at their respective positions. I am by no means an expert and I have no official training about how to write a detailed scouting report, but I feel I have a great understanding of the game and can pin point attributes that are essential to be successful at the next level. My goal is to make connections within the scouting field as well as learn as much about how to scout players as possible as I pursue my dream of becoming an NFL Scout one day.

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse (UW-L) with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Coaching competitive Athletics. From my time at UW-L I was able to develop a number of valuable relationships with those in the sports industry and was even given the opportunity to work as a Youth Football Camp Assistant with the Detroit Lions this past summer. This experience gave me much confidence in myself and I was allowed to take part in many exciting events that surrounded me with some very influential people. I also want to take the time to thank Tom Melton whose ideas and insight lead me onto this blogging website, as he was kind enough to share many valuable things with me along the way. I recommend everyone who visits my website also follow his at www.tommeltonscouting.wordpress.com. Tom is also a very passionate scout who has a keen eye and passion for the game of football and scouting in general.

I recently moved to Madison, WI for a full-time position with a sports marketing firm so I try to post as much content as possible whenever I get the free time, so I ask that you please be patient with me as I figure out how to best utilize my time with my new schedule. I do my best to deliver honest and truthful information, and I promise I will never give you insight other than my own on this website.  I take great pride in developing my own thoughts, so you can be sure my content will be unique and hopefully give you a new or fresh perspective on a player you are following. It is my hope that you will find the information I post genuinely accurate and insightful, and I appreciate any comments or feedback (positive or negative) from you to make my blog a better place. In the future I plan to expand this website and continue to add new and exciting content that you my readers will find interesting and informative. I don’t know where this will take me but I know it is something I love to do and for that I hope you enjoy everything my blog has to offer you.  Thanks for taking the time to read my posts, I look forward to providing you with the information you covet as loyal Draft and NFL fan enthusiasts.

Hi, Brandon. Chris Barry here; I run PowerHouse Sports, and I think you’re going to like what we’re doing. We’re taking the concept of fantasy football and turning it into a highly realistic simulation of being a real NFL GM – full roster, 52 weeks a year.

Check out what we’re doing; we’d love to have you as a virtual GM:

    Happy New Year!

Thank you for the invite, your virtual GM system is a very neat idea and something that definitely peaks my interest. However, I currently don’t have that much money or time to get involved at this time. Good luck with everything and best of luck in the future.

      – Brandon

Well, I wasn’t so much soliciting you as a potential customer yourself as I was making contact to see if we might have a business opportunity to do something together. If you’d like to talk about the idea, please email me at barrycm(at)PowerHouseGM(dot)com; I’d prefer not to have a conversation on your public page!
